Safety and Hygiene

We are committed to maintaining a COVID safe environment for all our patients, doctors, staff and visitors. We continue to closely monitor the COVID-19 situation and it is our ongoing priority to take necessary precautions to ensure the safety for both patients and practice personnel. All practice personnel working from our premises have been fully vaccinated. Our business continuity precautions and controls are guided by the Government, health authorities such as the World Health Organisation and the NSW Health Matrix.

Enhanced personal hygiene, increased cleaning and sanitisation throughout our practice

Extra cleaning and sanitisation to high contact areas of the practice, including reception, waiting room, treatment and consultation rooms are done throughout the day with hospital grade disinfectants and sanitisers.

General safety rules

  • Please do not attend the practice if you are unwell or have cold/flu-like symptoms
  • Wash and sanitise your hands regularly and before you enter the practice
  • Cover coughs or sneezes with your elbow, not your hands
  • Refrain from touching your face unless your hands have been sanitised

Face masks are still mandatory at healthcare facilities. Patients are requested to wear a face mask when they visit our practice. Wearing a face mask properly can help protect patients, staff and other visitors where physical distancing is sometimes not possible. Patients who have a face mask exemption, please advise our Front Desk staff on arrival and we may sit you in a separate area if possible. Medical staff may refuse to see patients or provide treatment to patients who do not comply with this request.

Maintain social distancing

The Department of Health recommends washing hands regularly, using hand sanitiser and keeping a safe distance as the most effective way of protecting yourself and others. We suggest where practicable that you abide by the social distancing requirements (1.5 metres).

Less contact at reception

When paying, we recommend card payments instead of cash or cheque and we encourage you to use “tap and go” to finalise the payment to reduce as much contact as possible.

Cancellation and appointment rescheduling

Our practice reserves the right to undertake a risk assessment and cancel or reschedule your appointment under certain circumstances or at short notice to protect the interests of all our patients, practice personnel and visitors.

Kindly contact us on 9389 7333 to reschedule your appointment if you:

  • have been unwell or have cold/flu-like symptoms
  • have contracted COVID-19
  • are awaiting COVID-19 test results

Your appointment will be rescheduled to the earliest available date.

Thank you for your cooperation.
